Carl Allensworth

Carl Allensworthwas born in Ohio on July 19, 1908 and was a graduate of Oberlin College. His work was presented on Broadway and on television. Allensworth was best known for his 1941 Broadway comedy Village Green, published by Dramatists Play Service, Inc. Allensworth died of a heart attack on October 23, 1991 in the United Hospital Medical Center in Port Chester, N.Y. at the age of 83. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy, two sons, Stephen and Robert and two grandchildren.
