Trisha Sugarek - playwright, author, poet - has been writing for four decades. Until recently her writing focused on scripts that ranged from prison stories to children’s fables. There are many more stage scripts to view on her website. She has expanded her body of work to include a three novels - Women Outside the Walls, Wild Violets, and Song of the Yukon - books of poetry, and a group of children’s story books. She has just finished publishing the third book, Bertie, the Bookworm and the Bully Boys. Ms. Sugarek has created a series of short plays/small casts called the ShortN'Smalls, ideal for the classroom.  A book of Haiku poetry was recently released, which her original brush and ink artwork will illustrate. Also offered on her site is a collection of monologues, "Monologues 4 Women".  Ms. Sugarek has enjoyed a thirty year career in theatre as an actor, director, and writer. For two years she had her own performing arts company in Texas. Originally from Seattle, she has worked in theatres from coast to coast. Her plays have been produced across the country. Ms. Sugarek lives in Savannah, Georgia with her two golden retrievers.
