Jeff Rizzo

Jeff Rizzo is the composer of WANNA PLAY?!. He is notably a conductor, music director, pianist, orchestrator, and arranger. He was the conductor of the national tour of 42nd STREET revival in from 2002 - 2004 and in 2007 he also toured China with the show. He was the conductor and partial orchestrator of Madison Square Garden's THE WIZARD OF OZ starring Roseanne, the subsequent national tour, and the Grammy nominated cast recording starring Mickey Rooney and Eartha Kitt. Prior to that he was the associate conductor of the US premiere of SUNSET BOULEVARD in Los Angeles, starring Glenn Close. Jeff was the associate conductor of ANNIE, the second national tour and the conductor ANNIE, the fourth national tour. He was an audition accompanist for the films of DREAMGIRLS and HAIRSPRAY. He continues to conduct shows for many of the major, regional musical theater companies, throughout the country, including Houston's Theatre Under The Stars and The Ordway Center in St. Paul, Minnesota. Jeff is also the composer of JAILBIRDS ON BROADWAY. With partner Eric Andrist, co-founded the Musical Theatre Guild. He is a cum laude graduate from The University of Southern California.
