Ray Hamby

Ray Hamby had his own theater, New Playes Company, in Baltimore. He produced new scripts including many of his own. He has written more that 30 full-length plays, more than 20 one-acts, plus short stories, children's plays, and 25 years of newspaper reporting. His plays include The Adventures of Ben Boy, Ben God, and Ben Cat and Red Letter Day, both published by Samuel French. He started out as a wholesome Oregon farm boy, spent 3 years in Hollywood, another 3 acting in San Francisco night clubs. He spent 2 years on the East Coast directing in community theaters. Big on travel, he has made more over 30 trips abroad. Now lives with Agnes, a cat, in Baltimore. And he keeps on writing!
