Ron Nicol is an award-winning Scottish playwright published in the UK, the USA, and the Netherlands, with more than fifty titles - one act dramas and comedies, one act plays for young people, full length plays, and pantomimes. His work has been produced in the UK, Ireland, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Germany, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and Minorca. His adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen's The Snow Queen (published by Samuel French) has had more than 140 productions world-wide, and there is now an abridged version available. Five of his one act plays have won writing prizes and productions of his plays have won more than 120 awards between them at drama festivals in the UK, USA and Canada. A production of Beware the Jabberwock (published by Samuel French) won the Scottish National Youth Festival Final in 2012 and "Primrose Way" (published by Samuel French) appeared at the Scottish National Final in 2017.
