David Tristram is a master of comedy and this play is this play is his take on the classic farce. This play a lot more than a farce though. It is packed full of very funny lines. So many, in fact, that you'd need to watch it 10 times to get them all. It also has pathos with some tender scenes towards the end of the play. On top of this it has a lot of slapstick comedy with some hilarious moments.
Our production had the audience in fits of laughter and was a storming success.
The play can be staged very easily (we did it in our Studio theatre and that has very little stage space) but you do need a capable actor to play the male lead and the two female leads are also quite demanding. The cast of six is quite small so you don't need a huge membership to cast it.
We had to change some parts of the script to bring it up to date.
