"Not since Death of a Salesman has the despair of middle age
been dramatized with such absorbing intensity. Through two acts of
searing exposure, with lots of little jokes along the way to ease the
bitterness, Jay Broad works for an archetypical history of the canker
that may curdle any family's American Dream." - The Associated Press.
