Full Length Musical

After suggesting that Jeff and Cassie are spending too much time on TV and video games, Gramps shares some of the old ways of entertainment by telling them about the legend of "The Red River Haint," a cowboy ghost. To their surprise, Jeff and Cassie are mysteriously transported back in time to the days of the Old West, where "The Red River Haint," a kindred spirit, takes young wranglers who need his counsel on keeping the values of the good old days alive. Through the songs and stories of Big Jake (the foreman), Camp Cooky, and all the other cowhands and neighbor ladies the kids find themselves learning about the old ways. After a memorable night of singing and dancing, Mr. Haint, as they now call him, tucks the kids in bed after telling them, "There's nothing wrong with technology at its best, but don't forget how much fun you've had out here in the West." When they awake, the kids wonder how they will ever explain what happened to them. After an unsuccessful attempt at convincing Mom that it wasn't just a dream, Jeff and Cassie are told to put away their sleeping bags and come to breakfast. Then, as they head toward the kitchen, they see Mr. Haint's hat lying in the middle of the floor, left behind as a sign that his and Gramps' stories were real, just like the values he espoused.
