In Denmark, Peter Pan won Best Song and the Orchestra's Award at the 1996 International Musical of the Year.
The legend of Peter Pan has been delighting children for over 100 years and this faithful new version is a festive adventure, perfect for the whole family. Featuring music and lyrics by the award-winning duo George Stiles and Anthony Drewe, we join Peter and the Darling family as they are whisked away to the famous land full of colorful characters including the Lost Boys, Tiger Lily and, of course, the dastardly Captain Hook. With a spectacular mix of swashbuckling adventure, jaw dropping flying, and an infectious score, Peter Pan is guaranteed to bring forth one's inner child, and send you reeling "Just Beyond the Stars."

"...the sheer good humour of Never Neverland creates a wonderful feel-good atmosphere which was sustained for the whole evening...the musical score by Stiles and Drew suggested to me traces of Sondheim, Bartand, Lloyd Webber..." - The Stage

"...a winner for both adults and children... a truly magical world come to life before our eyes..." - Reviews Gate.com

"From Beginning to end this is simply a joy...The tunes escalate the magic.... and makes the already brilliant J M Barrie Story all the more sublime." - Yorkshire Evening Post

"Tuned to near perfection...Songs full of wit and warmth...A Fantastic Flight of Fancy..." - Coventry Telegraph

"This is pure enchantment, sprinkled with fairy dust.... Pantastic..." - Primary Times

"The contemporary score is timeless and tuneful..." - The Independent
Peter Pan: A Musical Adventure first saw light of day in Denmark, at the International Musical Of The Year in 1996. In 1999 it was seen in a full production at Det Ny Teater in Copenhagen, performed in Danish. Under the direction of Julia McKenzie and Jonathan Butterell a staged concert, with the BBC Symphony Orchestra, was produced as a one-off event at the Royal Festival Hall in 2001 - which was broadcast on BBC Radio 3.

CASTING NOTES

Prospective producers need not consider themselves outfaced by the seemingly substantial list of characters - with astute doubling, and a willing company, this musical can be performed in its entirety with a cast of 22. To allow for swings and understudies, 25 is a safer number.
