Summary
A colorful romantic story laid in Granada. Seldom has there been a Spanish household happier than that of the Mendezes at the beginning of THE SQUALL; well-to-do farming people, they were favored with good crops, the most abundant of which was their blissful home life. But happiness, like the spider's thread, is subject to destruction by the breezes. Into this paradise a squall entered in the person of Nubi, a gypsy girl. Back of the heaven of her inviting eyes lurked the disposition of a viper. At once she began to exert her sorceries on the men of the household - causing them to forget their loved ones - until her husband comes back and drags her away to his gypsy home.
