The SCORE calls for PIANO 1, PIANO 2 (Optional), traditional MINSTREL BAND to be performed onstage by Minstrels in CAST, and SOLO INSTRUMENTS to be performed onstage by various characers in CAST according to action in BOOK. The SCORE is written for:PIANO 1 - Full Conductor's partPIANO 2 - Directed by special cues and notation for various numbers throughout SCORE. See *N.B. also.SOLO INSTRUMENTS parts and cues for performance of following:Trumpet or BugleAccordion or any wind instrumentMouth-OrganBanjoBellTambourineBones or CastanetsBass or Snare DrumKitchen-made percussionComb and PaperIf necessary, these can make up ensemble for MINSTREL BAND. See **N.B. also.DESIRED ADDITIONS FOR BAND - If such can be secured to supplement above ensemble for parade scenes, marked by cues for: Trombone, Tuba or other brass, Piccolo or any Woodwinds, Cymbal, etc.OTHER INSTRUMENTS - If available, requested by cues for both on and offstage performance: Native Drums, String Bass, Violin, Guitar, Zither, Ocarina, Harp or Harpsichord.*N.B.
