Description
This collection of plays creatively explores the HIV/AIDS crisis, especially as it is experienced by women within communities of color in the U.S. Postive/Negative explores both individual and community issues, ranging from deeply personal reck-onings with grief and anger to the broader institutional problems of homophobia, poverty, racism, sex-ism, and access to health care.Author of "Love and Danger "and "Do You Have Time to Die?," both of which have been produced in the San Francisco Bay Area, Imani Harrington is a longtime AIDS activist who has been living with HIV for more than a decade.Active in the AIDS field since 1987, Chyrell Bellamy is currently a doctoral student at the University of Michigan. Her research includes prevention and treatment issues of women living with HIV.
