A cleverly designed ensemble of old fashioned fables and contemporary foibles, Patchwork is stitched together with wit and wisdom. Fast paced, funny and thought provoking, each scene is visually and mentally stimulating. Promising at the start to ". . . wiggle your giggle and tickle your noodle," the actors play 41 roles in 14 scenes. Each scene is introduced by a patch ready to be sewn, with the completed quilt presented at the conclusion.
Patchwork premiered on June 22, 1982. It has been performed many times since. One production at St. Edmonds Academy in Pittsburgh featured an entire
class of students, but the play is often done with just four main characters. The play has been revived several times at Looking
Glass productions in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania - including a production that featured Ming Na when she was a student
at Carnegie Mellon.
