Adriano Shaplin's play "Pugilist Specialist" was an international success and won of the 'First of the Firsts' at the 2003 Edinburgh Fringe. It is also published by Oberon Books along with a trilogy of plays by Shaplin. "Switch Triptych" has a production by The Riot Group at the Assembly Rooms at the Edinburgh Fringe in August 2005.

Adriano Shaplin is a co-founder of the internationally acclaimed Riot Group and has served as the company's resident playwright since 1997.
