RECOGNITION / AWARDS

From Broadway, From Off-Broadway

Two one act musicals take varied looks at romance seekers. The first is a delightful romp through the sexual ennui of turn of the century Vienna based on Schnitzler's tale The Little Comedy. Act 2 is a modern look at affection and disaffection in a two couple summer house in the Hamptons based on the Jules Renard play Summer Share. An Off Off Broadway sensation that successfully moved to Broadway, Romance/Romance is a perfect change from the modern mega musical.

If you're part of a company who wants to get its feet wet doing an easy musical, this is a great one to start with.  The score is underratedly catchy and fun (my personal favorite being Words He Doesnt Say) and that is definitely the reason to do it.  The book scenes are predictable and lame.

An excellent vehicle to showcase our top four company members.  It requires excellent singers to execute the written harmonies and sing the ranges of the roles. The acting required is also quite dynamic and provides for many textures and colors.  We have all fallen in love with this musical.
