Settings Of Play - Various locations in Boise, Idaho, in 1910. McPherson's tavern, Charley Wong's restaurant, Navarro's Basque Boarding Hotel, the training camp of James J. Jeffries, the Boise train station, a shack in the woods. Also, a tavern in Bilbao, Spain, in 1937; a hill outside Gernika shortly thereafter; Mark Twain's porch in Connecticut in 1910; Teddy Roosevelt's study in 1918; and the same Basque boarding house in 1937.

This unique American love story is part of the author's cycle the Pendragon Plays .
Commissioned by and first produced at the Idaho Shakespeare Festival in 1986.
