Summary
Professor Kobitz is a flamboyant figure on a secluded campus and his Philosophy 01 seminar is popular because of the free-wheeling way he runs it. Into this safe seminar - terribly out of place - comes a new student. Mario Saccone, a veteran of combat in Korea. And for some secret reasons he begins a reign of terror that consumes the seminar, the professor, and at last the professor's alcoholic wife, Why he's come, why he wants to terrorize the professor, is the content of the play. And its climax is the confrontation between these two men: one highly evolved and thoughful; the other brutally effective and committed to a vengeance which the intended victim understands.
