Summary
The most widely produced of the plays by Pope John Paul II, The Jeweler's Shop made its Off Broadway debut in 1994. Ideal for church chancel as well as stage productions, this poetic drama explores the aspects of human existence expressed through love and marriage. Songs by Paul Cassanova of the group, Please, which use one acoustic guitar as accompaniment, project a youthful timeliness and hope.
TERESA - a young woman in her twenties, an office secretary, educated, warm, gentle, and with a brigh, twinkly sense of humor.
ANDREW - a young man in his twenties, serious, on the executive track, despite himself very much in love with Teresa, and they have a good marriage. He is tall.
ANNA - we meet her when she is already married to Steven. She is a homemaker and has three small children.
STEPHEN - he is Anna's blue collar husband. A direct person, who rarely shows emotion.
CHRISTOPHER - a young man in his early twenties, hopelessly in love with Monica.
MONICA - slightly younger than Christpoher, she is shy, frightened of a relationship, but does love Christopher.
ADAM -  he is a timeless, ageless man. At once many things to many peopel with a charming personna.
