Ghost story that tells of one Spanish nobleman who loves, and has children by, a foreigner. Cultural customs will not permit him to marry her without banishment, so he marries another. Desperate and thinking that the nobleman would marry her if they had not had children, she drowns them. He rebukes her, sending her into madness and finally to her death, where she relentlessly haunts him.
