Fantasy, Christmas/Holiday, Chancel Drama / Pageant, Parody / Spoof, Faith-based
Settings Of Play - A bare stage or chancel of the church. If area is large enough it should be divided into two parts with scenes alternating on either side of stage. A large platform would be nice, but not necessary. Two silhouettes at the end are of vital importance. One is a unicorn. The second a stylized view of the manger with Mary and Joseph kneeling on either side, possibly with a star above. This should be immediately recognizable as the nativity.

A girl discovers a unicorn that fills her with uncontrollable excitement and awe. She rushes to tell the world of the discovery, only to find the world too rational, too frightened, and too self-centered for awe and wonder. The little girl is faced with the sad duty of telling the unicorn it doesn't exist.
