Nob comes home agitated carrying out all his hides and skins. His wife, Doa, wants to know why. Hob explains that he has lost all of their belongings because he and another man, Ino, have invented a new game. A game played with 2 small pieces of ox bones. The ox bones have marks on them that represent numbers. The first pair of dice is born. Doa cannot comprehend why two grown men would play such a boring game until Nob explains that what makes it exciting is that the two men wager. This is how Nob has lost all of their belongings. Nob reveals that in desperation, while attempting to gain back all his hides and skins he bet her, Doa, and lost her to Ino. At the end, he escorts Doa out to Ino, but he vows to her that he would borrow some hides and try to win her back.
