Ideal for an actress in her forties or fifties, Second Lady is a powerful 70 minute performance piece about a fictional political wife. She has mislaid her prepared remarks and must draw on her experiences and recollections to fulfill a speaking engagement on behalf of her husband. Her stories become more and more personal as she peels away rationalizations and justifications she has accumulated over the years and confronts the truths of her life and marriage.
