LIL BOWER- Charlotte's best friend, twenty-two years old, plainer than Charlotte. Intensely practical with a biting, sardonic sense of humor.FREDDY BUCK- A very funny fellow of twenty-five, nice-looking with a lot of charm. His vanity and braggadocio are only one the outside, and underneath he is sincere and wholesome.
