Summary

A bitter cold night on a street corner in the slum district of a big city. Gentleman George and his most recent flame await the arrival of an implied mob boss known as The Patch. Tension mounts as The Patch doesn't show for nearly an hour after the appointed meeting time; and suspense builds as we learn that a recent snitch has drawn increased police attention to the local mob at the same time that Gentleman George has come into a mysteriously large sum of money.

A part of the collection The Magic Tower and Other One-Act Plays.
