Summary
One of Ionesco's last plays, set in a small bourgeois town beset suddenly by plague. As the dead bodies literally pile up before the audiences's eyes and a cloaked figure of death treads the city streets, The Killing Game takes a piercing, frighteningly funny look at the proclivity of a small, previously comfortable community to gossip, paranoia, hypocrisy, and opportunism in the face of crisis.
