A touching piece that doesn't hold back.  There is no shock value -- which is a good thing.  We essentially know how the story is going to end from the beginning, but that doesn't matter.  It's how the story is played out.  It's the events, the love, the struggle that make this play/story worth while.

Fun Home -- Brilliant
Not much more needs to be said. This is an outstanding example of adaptation dramaturgy, taking a very personal graphic novel and selecting elements well for dramatic purposes. Wonderful!

Reading the script adaptation of the graphic novel--GREAT!
I was please to be able to purchase a copy of Fun Home from Samuel French to read and review for my own enjoyment.  If and when I have the opportunity to teach using Alison Bechel Graphic Novel, it will be exciting to show the students the script adaptation, along with the song lyrics.  I enjoy learning and teaching about the process of taking an text (short story or novel) or event (history) and comparing it to the musical or play adaptation.

Really moving show
One of the best artistic musicals there are. Its specific staging so it can be hard to understand without seeing it live but its great writing!

Fun at Fun Home
I recently  received  the musical play Fun Home. I read it and loved it and could see why it won Tony  for best musical. My next step is to see the musical. Hopefully it will tour and arrive in Chicago..
