Overview
Bois d'Enghien is the lover of Lucette, a nightclub singer. He's also egaged to Viviane, a baroness's daughter, a fact he's desperately trying to keep from Lucette and the plot's crux. In the end he's found out—but only after a succession of mistaken identities and confusions. There's also many complications—the Baroness asks Lucette to sing at the engagement party—a composer of a bad song he wishes Lucette to sing at her club is caught in the web through his self-seeking actions—and a flamboyant Spanish general falls for Lucette challenging any man suspected of being her lover. It's a hilarious gallop all the way leaving the audience no time to catch its breath.
