Evening Education

Overview

This forty minute play dramatizes a confrontation between polar opposites: a young, white professor and a fifty year old black janitor. Working late one evening, Toppman accuses Aaron of breaking the marble obelisk on his desk. Aaron asserts his innocence, first calmly and then more vehemently, and in the process reveals his own past as well as the professor's. A bond based on mutual understanding and respect is forged between the two men ... or is it?
