Stella Rose

Overview

In this longer one act, set in the years between 1917 and 1927, Stella is a young girl whose sister Erma was deeply infatuated with a boy serving in the army. Their mother, Mary Annora, has so many children she can't keep all their names straight, and their father, Hammy, loves to shine his shoes and go to dances. The girls' stories, as they unfold, are ultimately tragic, but the play is also charming and funny as well as moving.
