Overview

While preparing for the inspection of Lenin’s red square mausoleum, Sidorov and Ivanov discover that Lenin’s nose has fallen off after being incorrectly embalmed. When the two cannot figure out a solution, Ivanov asks Sidorov to poison himself so that his body can take Lenin’s place.
