Overview

When Veronica, a Roman matron, wipes Jesus' brow during his walk to Calvary, her veil is miraculously imprinted with the image of His face. Shocked, she drops the cloth. Gilia, the daughter of Jerusalem's best weaver and a secret disciple, snatches the veil away. Covering the period of time from Jesus' Crucifixion to just before the Resurrection, The Sixth Station is the story of Gilia's challenge to understand Jesus and His loving call. Gilia and her mother struggle to reconcile their conflicting views of how their future should unfold. Joseph of Arimathea and Veronica play key roles in this dynamic story of love, denial, and ultimate acceptance of the will of God.
