Drama

William Archibald

3m, 3f

Ext.

Riches are a poor substitute for love. The son and daughter of a very wealty family and hardly satisfied with the millions they will inherit, but think instead of the love their parents might have given them. The entire action passes during one cocktail hour on the family terrace. The daughter's finance joins the group, but it is evident that not even his love is enough to fill the void of her past life. Both mother and daughter accuse each other of being wanting, but it is the son who chooses the most direct action. He bargains with the finace to kill his parents by pushing them over a cliff that they always pass on their evening walk. It is the only way to end the strange relationships of the family. The finance agrees: and after everyone has bared his soul for the last time, the old couple has left for their last walk together, he stalks after them to complete the deed.

FEE: $75 per performance.
