Lonnie is vicious but lacks the vision to be a sensation. A talent agent devises a criminal persona for him: dressed as a skeleton he goes door to door murdering people. When captured, he is an instant TV celebrity. Wanning fame motivates him to crash the Miss America Pageant disguised as Miss Wyoming to kill Miss America on camera. Falling in love with her leads to his downfall: being fried in the electric chair during a jazzy prime time production number.
