Farce

Phoebe Ephron and Henry Ephron

4 m., 3 f.

Int. w. insets.

A young boy and girl, having lived successfully together in New York, decide to get married in order to save on rent. She is a bit more willing than he, since she has begun thinking in family terms. Now their parents put their two cents in and all but wreck the proceedings. One set of parents is sophisticated, TV writer and actress, while the other is grassroots. Thank goodness for the hardiness of love, which eventually conquers all.

"[Gave] a good deal of amusement to the audience." N.Y. Times.

"Playgoers are likely to collapse with laughter." Variety.

FEE: $75 per performance.
