Cynthia Heimel

Full Length, Comedy

3 f., 1 m.

Bare stage.

Ms. Heimel is a delightful neo feminist someone who views men not as the problem, but as part of the solution humorist best known for the hilarious, the immortal Sex Tips for Girls. She has taken material from that book and put it into the mouths of three characters: Cynthia and her friends Cleo and Rita. "These are the times that try a girl's soul," begins Cynthia, and then she and her friends proceed to tell us why the times are so trying and what they are doing to cope with them. We learn about "The Great Boyfriend Crunch" and other facts of life for the contemporary heterosexual woman.

"Combine a hip Ann Landers, a nice Fran Lebowitz, and an eloquent cartoon Cathy and you've got . . . Cynthia Heimel." N.Y. Daily News

"She's your best friend, Jewish mother and analyst, with a better sense of humor than the three combined." USA Today

"Like Dorothy Parker, Ms. Heimel is an urban romantic with a scathing x ray vision that penetrates her most deeply cherished fantasies." N.Y. Times

FEE: $75 per performance.
