Submitting a Query Online

We request that playwrights fill out the form below and attach a ten-page sample of the work where indicated. This sample does not need to be excerpted from the beginning of the play or musical, but should be a continuous selection of what you feel is the strongest representative example of both your writing and the individual play. Please make sure that the sample is clearly formatted. If necessary, you can provide a simple paragraph explanation of the submitted scene for clarification.

ONLINE PLAY SUBMISSION FORM

Rules and Requirements:

1. We do accept simultaneous submissions. However, we request that you inform us if you have received and/or accepted another offer from a different publisher so that we can either expedite or remove your script from consideration as is appropriate.

2. You must acquire whatever permissions may be necessary for works referenced or used in your script that are not your own BEFORE submitting your work to us. These works include: music, poetry, quotes, etc. Citation is not enough.

3. When submitting a query for a collection of one-acts, please submit ten pages of what you feel is the strongest piece in the collection, and then summarize the other plays that you would include in the collection, were we to request the full submission, in the space provided for the synopsis.

4. Your 10 page sample should be submitted as one single file. It should be saved as a MS Word document, Rich Text File, or Adobe PDF. You should name your file in the following manner, including the work’s title (can be truncated, but must be clear and understandable) and your last name:
