Leslie Kimbell (Writers, Actor, Director, Designer)
Leslie gained the majority of her life experience and salty sense of humor from twenty two years traveling the world as a Burlesque Headliner.
Her first play FOUR OLD BROADS is inspired by memories of her Nannie DeVries and Aunt Sissie, who were always hysterical, sassy old broads.
BROADS simultaneously won two festivals in 2017 at Centre Stage Greenville in Greenville, South Carolina and Theatre Victoria in Victoria, Texas. BROADS also received an AEA Workshop at The Cherry Lane Theatre in New York City 2017. Leslie is thrilled and honored to have been mentored by the amazing Billie Nye-Muller, Del Shores and Kenny Wade Marshall.
Born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Leslie now resides in Winder, Georgia, where she works with several area theaters as actor, director and occasionally set painter, concessions seller and floor sweeper.
Leslie is also the exhausted mother of two handsome boys; Cameron and Logan and wife of Scott.
As an actor, Leslie has appeared on television in NOWHERE U.S.A, SWAMP MURDERS, SNAPPED. MURDER DECODED and HOUSE OF PAYNE. She also had supporting roles in the films BURIED CAIN and THE MIDNIGHT MAN.
