BRUCE BONAFEDE has been a produced, published playwright and a member of the Dramatists Guild for more than 30 years. Full-length plays include the award-winning Advice to the Players (Heideman Award, Humana Festival, Actors Theatre of Louisville, 1985; Best Short Plays 1986); the comedy The Desert of Love (staged reading, Coachella Valley Repertory, 2018); and the military drama Crusade (reading, Baltimore Playwrights Festival, 2019).
One-acts and other short plays include the tragedy North (staged reading, Santa Fe Playhouse, 2018); Quarantine (Third Place, One-Act Playwriting Competition, Little Theatre of Alexandria, 2017); Say Goodbye to Hollywood (North Park Playwrights Festival, San Diego, 2018; Best 10-Minute Plays 2019); The Short Christmas Dinner (Out of Box Theatre, Marietta, Georgia, 2018); and A Death in the Woods (Chain Reaction Theatre Project, 2019).
His work has been published in Literary Cavalcade magazine, the Best Short Plays series, Dialog (Poland), and Best Monologues from the Best American Short Plays. He is based in Palm Springs, California.
