Matthew Kelty is a playwright, actor, and director who works in New York, Los Angeles, and Honolulu. His play "Opening" is a winner of Samuel French's 32nd annual Off-Off-Broadway festival, and has been performed around the country. New York productions include "Black and Blue" at The Actors Studio, "When a Storm Comes" Off-Broadway at the DR2, and "Secret Leader Super Heroes" at The Flea. His most recent works include "Derailed," a play in the stye of Japanese kyōgen, and the devised works "Smile, You're Under Surveillance!" (with the ensemble bruh.) and "Patience" (with the ensemble Cliff Diver). He is the Founding Artistic Director of the company Quarter Acre, and a member of the Dramatists Guild.
