"Two Minutes To Shine Monologue" series author Pamela Sackett is a writer, producer, international performer and teaching artist. She is the principal artist & founder of Emotion Literacy Advocates (ELA), a for-benefit organization offering arts-based multi-media tools for emotion literacy instruction and certification of EL advocacy. A multi-disciplinary language artist using theatrical, musical and literary forms, Pamela's psychodynamic writing for dramatic interpretation has found application through international literary and dramatic arts venues, as well as academic, therapeutic, social service agencies, cinema house, print, radio and television broadcasts.
Pamela's unique monologue and play designs for actors and special populations and her numerous artist residencies in schools and prisons for Seattle Repertory Theatre Company's Outreach and Education programs informed and inspired her devotion to generating art for social change.
Her books of short-form rhythmic prose include "Speak of the Ghost: In the Name of Emotion Literacy," "Saving the World Solo" and "Booing Death (with Shpilkes & Rhyme)."
Pamela received the Antioch University Seattle Distinguished Alumni Award in 2013.
