Summary

In Eric Bently's 90 minute, one-act play, narrated by Roman Governor, Pontius Pilate, the New Testament gets a new twist. The protagonist, Yeshu (Jesus), is a naive Jewish patriot who gets pressured into thinking that he is, indeed, the Messiah. And when his confidant, Stephen, and the corrupt Herod Antipas second this sentiment, he is utterly convinced. As he makes his way to his inevitable demise (and subsequent redemption), he meets a familiar cast of characters, including a heroic young patriot by the name of Judas.
