Summary

Della has always dreamed of the perfect life: a springtime wedding in Vegas, a litter of kids running around the trailer, and a husband -- any husband. Her best friend, Rayanne, only wants the best for Della but has a habit of "accidentally" murdering Della's fiancés. Now, on her sixth (or is it her seventh?) wedding day, Della's latest groom, Charlie, has somehow ended up on the floor of the Lucky Elvis Wedding Chapel with a cake knife in his gut. The two women load Charlie's body into his pickup truck and drive out to the desert to bury him. But they soon discover it's hard to keep a bad man down.

DELLA - a little dust on the bottle

RAYANNE - a little less dust on the bottle

CHARLIE - 18 to 88

All three characters in this one act can be of any age, any ethnicity and really any gender. The playwrights encourage taking risks in casting and interpretation of the relationships between the characters to find undiscovered gems that may be hiding in the rocks and dust.
