Additional Info

The condition of the Blake family is bad: father, an unsuccessful lawyer; mother, who thinks she is sick; Lucy, their daughter, on the point of eloping; and Tom, her brother, intent on suicide. Into this circle comes Gypsy Jim, who manages to make them all think there is something supernatural about him, so that he manages to leave them all in a happy mood. It turns out in the end that the said Gypsy Jim is no other than a millionaire who has played an agreeable trick and brought joy to those who needed it most. Produced at the 49th St. Theater, New York.
