Summary

Marisela is obsessed with locating the mysterious writer B. Traven, whose true identity has puzzled generations of admirers. She finds herself lost deep in the Mexican jungle, and there stumbles upon an enigmatic individual who may or may not be Traven, and what could be a treasure trove of invaluable, moldy manuscripts. Her attempts to discover who he really is, and his counter-attempts to undermine and ultimately destroy her sense of identity and reality, make for a gripping and deeply unsettling confrontation. By turns funny, frightening, erotic and disturbing, this unusual play leads you deep into a seductive and dangerous labyrinth of masks and illusions.
