Confessions (Garner)

From his hospital bed, a cantankerous old codger refuses to go into a risky surgery without first seeing a Catholic priest. Fed up with his obnoxious shenanigans, the attending nurse complies. Unfortunately, the only person available on such short notice is a young Presbyterian seminary student who admittedly doubts the existence of God. Time is a factor as the hour of his surgery approaches, and without absolution, the man fears that he may end up in the other place.

Confessions was first produced at the Boston Playwright's Theatre in 1997, and was directed by Dossy Peabody.
