When students at a Northeastern girls' boarding school attempt to nominate a fellow student to the chapel committee, this apparently simple action leads to complex results. Soon the students find themselves trying to deal among themselves with issues ranging from prejudice to teen pregnancy. The events lead to tragedy for some and a new level of understanding for others.
