Summary
Here is a quietly touching coming of age play. Jason, a former athlete, invites his lab partner over to watch baseball. Jason subtly probes rumors concerning Les' sexuality and, uncovering the truth, shares his own secret: a heart murmur ended his dreams. They hear each other's heartbeats and find comfort in each other. Published in Off Off Broadway Festival Plays, 21st Series.

murmurs was produced as part of the 21st Samuel French Off Off Broadway Short Play Festival at the Harold Clurman Theatre in New York City on April 30, 1996. Directed by Jodi Finkel, the production featured Gregory Sims and Daniel Sherman.
