Overview

In this memory play the author's uncle, a Jewish immigrant from Poland, arrives in America in the early twenties after an adventurous life in Palestine. Lost and confused, he marries on the rebound, fathers a son as neurotic as he is and alienates everyone except the sister he adores. This is a compassionate and poignant portrait of an irascible and frustrating man.

Published in My Family, The Jewish Immigrants and Behind the Scenes (2 Comedies & 2 Dramas).
