Overview
A class dance is planned and the boys have chipped in to compensate the unlucky one who must take Effie, a girl more distinguished for scholarship than beauty or charm. Her name is drawn by a spoiled socialite who pockets the money, anticipates a deadly evening and doesn't intend to conceal his boredom. Effie conceals her hurt and humiliation, determined to make her unwilling escort earn that money.
