This off-beat drama premiered at New York's Public Theatre and was directed by Joseph Papp. In a fleabag rooming house lives Feisel, a Kafka-esque writer living hand to mouth and woman to woman. Listening to classical music non-stop while awaiting a long overdue visit from his father, he fends off the various advances on his affections by sundry women. When his father finally arrives, both he and Feisel are disappointed in the man they see before them.
